One way to measure your bed for a quilt, comforter or a duvet is to start on one side approximately 2" below the TOP of the boxspring, go up and across the top, and back down the other side to about 2" below the TOP of the boxspring. This is your MINIMUM WIDTH. Then measure 2" below the TOP of the boxspring at the end of the mattress up to the TOP of the bed. This is your MINIMUM LENGTH. If you want to cover your pillows, you"ll need to add on a few inches,usually for your king and cal-king sizes. Hope this little trick will help you on your quest!
